| My Scratch Built Tudor Tavern I've used the Old Crow walling and flooring system for the base of this Tavern (These are available to buy from our website) and then topped it off for visual appeal with a scratch built Tudor style upper storey. I made it from ply, hardboard balsa and card. There's a few bits to finish on it eg. the windows and other small details. |

| Plans for a new Dwarf World Tavern As you may already know the first Boars Head tavern has long gone and the Dwarf's of Dwarf World have resorted to brewing their own and drinking at home alone, that's a sad state of affairs. They need a new Tavern and you can see below pictures of a possible layout for the new Boars Head Tavern. I'm not sure I've got it quite right yet and you can see from the pictures that there are many combinations possible with the set up. These resin pieces can be bought from the Old Crow website. |

| Scrunt Command Post This project is long overdue, but I've finally brought it together in the shape and form I'd like to present on the website sales page. As with all these resin subjects other combinations are possible. The webpages will be constructed soon so keep a look out for it. Since bringing the command post about I've become more ambitious and have combined it with a stockade, once again many combinations are possible with these Old Crow resin pieces, but I think you'll agree with me it makes a superb defensive set up for the Scrunts. |

| Psychic Scrunts These are the more mutated forms of Pyschic Scrunts, the machine itself is the cause of some of this change to the scrunts. Strange sub-life forms emerge from the base of the Psychic Accumulator Beam Projector machine, the result of an intense energy field drawing in particles of matter which are infused with psychic discharge from the connection hoses. The complex mix of psychic energy and matter take on a life of their own and these strange forms escape from the magnetic field of the machine and embond themselves to the scrunts. |

| Dwarf World christmas Special I've finished my first christmas special and its a Father Christmas Dwarf for Dwarf world, but to get it moulded in time for Christmas I need enough completed miniatures to fill a mould, so I'm working hard to get 5 psychic dwarfs and pirate dwarfs completed as soon as possible, as time is running out. |

| Psychic Scrunts and The Psychic Accumulator Beam Projector machine The Pyschic Mutant Scrunts have combined their awesome power into an accumulator machine, which when fully charged can fire a beam of concentrated pyschic energy at their enemy. This is just the beginning for the Psychic Scrunts, eventually I want to work towards the extremes of techno-mutations and the machine itself is the cause of some of this change to the scrunts. You'll notice at the base, there are strange sub-life forms emerging, its the result of an intense energy field drawing in particles of matter which are infused with psychic discharge from the connection hoses. The complex mix of psychic energy and matter take on a life of their own and these strange forms escape from the magnetic field of the machine and embond themselves to the scrunts, or anything else that gets in its way.. I'm already working on the sketches for some of these new life forms and trust me its getting pretty wierd.
As for the scrunt with the fingers touching his head, he is actually inserting his fingers into his brain through a series of holes in a skull plate.
Some of you may have noticed the psychic excess discharge earthing point, it kind of explains itself, sometimes too much psychic energy can go into the machine which if not controlled by this earthing point can discharge back into the scrunts, which as you can imagine is not very pleasant for them! |

| Assembling the Scrunt Guns and Vehicles Here's a picture of my worktop a few days ago. I'm assembling a selection of Old Crow/Ainsty guns and vehicles which are particularly suitable for use with the Scrunts. We shall be stocking a variety of the guns and vehicles for sale directly from our website in the coming weeks. |

| Eye Candy Preview A few eye candy pictures of some of the guns and vehicles that Bob has just finished painting. He used his own scenery to stage the pictures and we did a bit of photoshoping to create the skies. These old crow vehicles and guns will be available for sale very soon and all the eye candy will soon be uploaded to the gallery webpage |

| My Recent Ebay Purchases A few months ago I was incredibly lucky to win the ebay auctions for both The Lizard King and The Judge, sculpted by Aaron Brown. The Judge is one of my all time favourite sculpts and I believe a true classic. So I am thrilled to have reproduction rights to both of the figures and I plan to get them both remoulded very soon and up for sale on the website. The reason they are sitting on my workbench is so I can make some small adjustments to the judge figure before it is re-moulded, I would like the legs to be in fewer parts, making it easier to assemble. I also have a cunning plan for a Scrunt Legwalker conversion using the leg and gattling gun part of the Judge figure. More Power to the Scrunts! |

| Scrunt Command Post Below in the first picture you can see the base boards I've cut to set the scene for the base of the Command post. Basically its 3 pieces of scrap chipboard glued together. The next pictures show the basic layout of walls and command post, nothing is glued down yet. The next step will be to model a realistic embankment, which will end up in a toxic oil and chemical lagoon. Once again I have used Old Crow/Ainsty pieces, which we will be stocking and selling direct from our website. |
|
|
| Latest Update 20 May 2007 I've added debree and contouring to the terraced sections of the scene. I've used chunks of rough bark and brown grout cement. I've also glued the chemical dump into place. |

| Undecided Greens Here's a few pieces that have been kicking around unfinished on my workbench for sometime now, infact the Roman figure dates back to 1995, the treasure island and Beastwoman are a bit more recent. The roman and the beastwoman are both 40mm. The treaure island is in 28mm scale. Thought you might like to see these before they are badged away for a another decade or so. |

| In the 3 projects below, you can see the first stages for 3 pieces of scenery I am making for the scrunts. One is a ruined Church and Graveyard, another is of a ruined farmhouse and the third is a Rocky canyon for the texan scrunts. At this stage you are looking at the very first rough layout of the scenes, this is the easy bit, refinement and fine detail work from this stage onwards is where the real work will begin. So far I have used 10mm thick plyboard for the base, I selected suitable stones while out walking and have combined the rough terrain and stones together with a mixture of sand and cement. The buildings are wood glued to the board and to help the cement grip to the ply I have hammered in short tacks over the surface leaving the tack heads sticking up slightly, these act as mini anchors to the cement and hold it onto the plywood, of course you could use other materials like plaster etc, but I choose cement because I was working with real stones. For all the finishing detail work I'm going to be using milliput, which I think works very well for this kind of modelling. Keep a look out for updates of my progress, which I hope won't be too slow for you all as I'm very busy with sculpting commissions. |

| Painting Old Crow/Ainsty Pick-Up Truck I really enjoyed painting this truck, it didn't take to long to do and apart the from base coat I dry brushed most of the finish. I painted a middle blue all over and then a slightly lighter shade on top for contrast. I then painted in the armour panels around windscreen, bumpers and other plated sections, using a mix of base blue mixed with rust brown, silver and black. These panels were then highligted with shades of rust and a highlight in patches of silvered metal. Panels seams and joints on the vehicle where dark lined to bring out shape and form. The rest of the vehicle was easy as it was just dry brush, rust colours and dust (an ochre mixed with some of the rust and a bit of the blue). I found it a quick and effective method. Paints used were plaka and vallejo. |
